The Ikea charity foundation is actually a foundation owned by the Ikea` s founder, Ingvar Kamprad. The name of the foundation is the Stichting INGKA, the first name meaning ‘foundation’ in Dutch and the later being a combination of the owner` s two names. It was founded in 1982 and its goal is to support and to promote the innovation in areas as the interior design and architecture. But the owner wants the foundation to be involved in more social causes and this is why he asked the Dutch court to allow the foundation to donate money for social problems.
