All these types of coffee are certified by the UTZ, a non-profit and independent organization. This means that the Ikea coffee respects all the standards for responsible sourcing and growing and that it respects the environment and the people. To be certified by UTZ, one of the requests is to reduce the impact upon the environment.

The collaboration between Ikea and WWF in projects for forests is a partnership to promote the responsible management of the forests. In 2002, Ikea and WWF planned and put in practice a set of projects that represents important steps in the implementation of the action Ikea ` s plan for WWF` s goals regarding the nature` s preservation. Among the general objectives is to promote the abidance of the legislation regarding the forests and the commerce with wood and wood products, to reduce the uncontrolled carvings and the consolidation of the certification and of forests husbandry based on all the cause factors involving.
