The Ikea catalogue was published for the very first time in Swedish, in 1951. The catalogue appears every year in 36 countries from all over the world, in 27 languages. It is the company` s principal tool of marketing, being published in 55 editions and absorbing 70% of the annual budget for marketing. For example, the 2009 Ikea catalogue has about 12.000 products, appeared in 180 million copies and it is distributed by post and in shops. About 7.000 products that will be renewed in a percent of 30%, next year, are presented in the 376 pages of the new catalogue Ikea. Two of the season` s news are the chapter dedicated to the adolescents and the one of the buying guides.
